In its eighth instalment since the inception of the series, the H&G team dug deep in their saved archives to share designs and interior pieces that inspire them. With so much design inspo and limited characters, here are our favourite posts of the week.
Bring a touch of woodland charm inside your home
Is there anything more guaranteed to delight than new de Gournay? This time, the legendary brand has collaborated with designer Alison Pickart on the Redwoods collection of hand-painted wallpaper inspired by California's state tree. These incredible forest scenes (complete with little critters) are a beautiful reminder of how precious nature truly is. - Piet Smedy, Editor-in-Chief
Mexican minimalism for slow living inspiration
Located in Mérida, Mexico is this minimalist abode by Muñoz Arquitectos (@munoz.arquitectos). Called 'Hacienda Tamchen', the villa represents a recent return to the slow-living vibe that's been all the rage in southern Europe. Incorporating a near-crumbling façade with exposed concrete and other natural elements, the effect is a home that's both luxe yet laid-back. It's interesting to see a country that's usually associated with maximalism adopt a more pared-back aesthetic. - Walter Hayward, Managing & Syndication Editor
Warm tones all around
I've recently been drawn to warm and homely spaces that offer a sanctuary from the turbulence of life. Warmer tones from oranges to yellow ochre, varied textures of wood and softer fabrics that create the feeling of home. I love this instagram account because the homes feel very personal to their owners and it's exactly how I'd like my home to feel to me and others. A home should never feel pretentious or like a show-house, but rather a space where my family and friends can come together and just be themselves. - Yashna Balwanth, Senior Features Writer
Natural light + big kitchen = perfection!
This is the kitchen of my dreams. I adore a breakfast corner with loads of natural light. I find it so inviting and charming, especially with the hints of green on the cabinets and the wood finishes. Love love love! - Lesley Mathys, Group Managing & Syndication Editor
Local luxury villa living
I mean how gorgeous is this villa? This luxury beachfront accommodation in Yzerfontein, West Coast South Africa is to die for. From the meticulous design and interiors, this is one spot I would like to go to with the LOML and just bask in the space and the energy it exudes. - Arthur Mukhari, Digital Traffic Manager

Wooden finishes and living room light
Part of getting older means making your home feel like a sanctuary, and this Berlin home has been a source of inspiration for me. I could go on and on, but the beautiful vintage pieces, the abundant greenery and the eye-catching art on the walls are truly a standout for me - Alyx Carolus, Digital Content Producer
