Nestled within the quiet confines of Brentwood Park, Los Angeles, lies a Mediterranean haven that recently underwent a complete redesign, marrying elements of surrealism with timeless elegance.
This opulent residence, owned by an American entrepreneur and philanthropist, alongside his Persian wife, a talented painter and photographer, invites family and friends into a space that is woven together by luxury and the homeowners’ love for philanthropy.
Initiated by Maison Vilucchi, helmed by the visionary French-Italian designer and builder, Tancred Vilucchi, the project presented an intriguing challenge: to reimagine a sprawling mansion that evokes warmth and timelessness, while resonating with the homeowners' penchant for travel and charitable endeavours.
The essence of the redesign lay in striking a balance between the grandeur of the structure and the intimate lifestyle of the homeowners. Vilucchi embarked on this project by infusing the home with natural and high-quality materials, including limestone, rare onyx, and exquisite marble, weaving depth, and texture into every corner.
Drawing inspiration from the homeowners' love for vibrant hues, Vilucchi amplified colour throughout the residence. From the serene off-white tones adorning the entrance to the whimsical bursts of pink in the dining room, each space exudes its unique character, resonating with the surrounding nature and the homeowners’ unique personalities.
The heart of the home, the living room, serves as a testament to Vilucchi's visionary approach. Awash in hues of green and accented with touches of gold and pink, this space seamlessly transitions into the lush outdoor oasis, blurring the boundaries between inside and out.
Meanwhile, the powder room emerges as a whimsical oasis, adorned with a mesmerising banana leaf wallpaper, reminiscent of the homeowners' global adventures. Beyond aesthetics, the redesign also tackled practical challenges, including a significant water leak that prompted immediate action.
